Here’s something that a lot of people are not aware of:
BABY POWDER IS BAD FOR BABIES!!
More specifically, baby powder made with TALC is bad for babies. Actually they’re bad for everyone in general. Most non-parents (and some current parents) don’t know this. Mommy and Daddy sure didn’t know either.
Some baby powders are made from talc rocks which are crushed into a fine powder. But this still leaves minute fibers which are similar to asbestos. Asbestos is a thready material that is used for insulation (among other things) and is now banned in the USA. Asbestos contains tiny fibers that can be inhaled into your lungs and cause lung cancer.
Breathing in baby powder made with talc can cause cancer. So what are the alternatives?
You can use baby powder that uses corn starch instead of talc.
You can also use lotions instead of powders.
Daddy is currently saddened by this news. Daddy says baby powder makes everything smell so nice. Especially stinky buttholes.

Asbestos would really crap your lungs if you inhale bits of it.~’~

This is only the case if the talc rock contains traces of asbestos in the first place. All talc producers carefully and continuously analyse and monitor their talc mining and production process to ensure that talc products are asbestos-free..
Talc is used for paper-making, paints and for plastic (to name just a few of its major uses). Therefore, it has to conform to health standards and be completely free of asbestos contamination.
Talc itself is completely inert (insoluble in acids, alkalis or water) and can be ingested with no harm. It is a common ingredient of chewing gum, for example.

(and in most either countries for that matter).
Most of the leading brands of baby talc available on the US market no longer contain talc in the formulation in order to avoid the risk of exposure to any damage claims, however spurious.
