For the first three days of life a baby will poop out meconium. Meconium is the collection of all the crap the baby ingests while in the womb. While in the womb babies only pee (the pee is just sterile water) but not poop. All the poop collects for 9 months so mommy and daddy can have a nice surprise.

This meconium is black, tarry and sticky. It’s gross. So don’t be surprised now when your brand new baby gives you a present in her diaper.

Oh btw, my poo never looked like this though. My poop was always like the below picture. I have no idea what’s so great about it but mommy and daddy are very happy every time i poo.
